The SCOTT SAFETY AIR-PAK self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) is a respirator intended to provide respiratory protection to an individual when entering to working in and exiting an objectionable, an oxygen deficient, and/or an unbreathable (toxic) atmosphere.

FEATURES

• Full facepiece assembly.
• A removable, facepiece-mounted, positive pressure breathing regulator with air-saver switch.
• An automatic dual path redundant pressure-reducing regulator.
• End-of-service time indicators.
• A harness and back frame assembly for supporting the equipment on the body of the wearer.
• A shoulder strap mounted, remote gauge indicating cylinder pressure.
• A rapid intervention crew/universal air connection (RIC/UAC).
• Cylinder and valve assembly for storing breathing air under pressure, with a full nominal capacity 4500 psig service pressure of 60 minutes (SCOTT SAFETY model 4.5 SCBA).
• The SCOTT SAFETY AIR-PAK self-contained (SCBA) has all straps and harnesses are made with Kevlar®.

CERTIFICATION

• Certified by NIOSH as a 60-minute rated SCBA under approval number TC-13-96.
• Compliance with NFPA 1981/1982.
